Overview

Why Were Users Bailing Right Before Their First Purchase?

Analytics showed clear drop-off before checkout: users faced a long, intimidating form, and accidental exits instantly wiped their input. On top of that, Sharia BNPL was still an unfamiliar concept, leaving users unsure how interest-free installments actually worked.

What Was the Action Plan?

  • Problem
Heavy form fatigue, fragile data inputs that reset on exit, and user confusion around Sharia financing terms.

  • Hypothesis
If the flow stops punishing users for pauses and clarifies Sharia rules at the point of choice, completion rates will rise.

  • Success Criteria

    • Zero dropped sessions from lost data.

    • Faster single-session verification completions.

    • Clear understanding of payment terms at checkout.

Solution

Eliminating input fatigue and session resets so users can pause freely and complete their first order with clear Sharia terms.

What Changed in the Experience?

  • Bite-Sized Verification: Broken into clear steps so users never face form fatigue.

  • Session State Keeper: Auto-saves every input locally so app-switching never wipes data.

  • Warehouse Physical Proof: Shows live QC inspection photos before dispatch to validate real Sharia item ownership.

  • Clear Murabahah Lifecycle: Displays upfront purchase price and flat markup across the entire order lifecycle with zero interest.

Research

Auditing the Breakdowns in Verification and Murabahah Flow

To diagnose why users abandoned the funding process before ever pasting a link, I audited compliance requirements, inspected runtime session behavior, and analyzed user feedback tickets.
